The National Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (NFARMC) conducted its 4th Quarter Meeting today, November 15, 2023 at the Grand Summit Hotel in General Santos City.
Members of the DA-BFAR officials led by Assistant Director for Technical Services, Isidro M. Velayo and representatives from other national agencies, members of the academe, non-government organizations (NGO) participated in the event. The honorable council members also attended the 6th National Sardines Industry Congress and Trade Exhibit 2023.

NFARMC serves as the advisory and recommendatory body to the Department of Agriculture. It was created to assist in the formulation of national policies for the protection, sustainable development, and management of fishery and aquatic resources, and the preparation of the National Fisheries and Industry Development Plan.
